Marcos Mincov has been a member of the São Paulo Symphony Orchestra since 1997

He is English Horn Solo after being first Oboe.

He began his oboe studies and musical training at the San Caetano do Sul Arts Foundation with Professor José Davino Rosa in 1975, then perfected with Professors Salvador Masano, Walter Bianchi, Tsunemichi Nagamine, Henri Schuman and Joseph Robinson.

He is a member of the Municipal Symphony Orchestra of Campinas, the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Eleazar de Carvalho, the Symphonic Jazz and the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra (RJ).

He has been an oboe teacher at the Brooklin Paulista Music Conservatory in São Paulo, as well as at various holiday courses in Gramado, Itú, Brasilia, Campos (RJ) and the Conservatory of Tatuí.

In 1987, he moved to Lisbon, Portugal, where he held the position of first oboe of the Symphony Orchestra of the National Theatre of Saint-Charles and also played in the Classical Orchestra of Porto and the Gulbenkian Symphony Orchestra. He has participated in several concerts as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the country.

In Portugal he taught oboe and chamber music in the professional music schools of espinho, Viana do Castelo and Porto. He was an oboe teacher and coordinator of wind instruments at the professional art school in Mirandela.
